One of the most loving Android smartphone companies, HTC is working on making the smartphones more powerful. HTC is rumored to be working on Intel-processor powered Android devices. Already HTC has showcased many powerful smartphones, but now the power is going to increase with Intel.
The news from the Intel Developer Forum (IDF) indicates that ‘walking the floor’ with Android Gingerbread powered HTC prototypes running Intel chips.
Google’s senior Vice president, Andy Rubin said “Combining Android with Intel’s low power smartphone roadmap opens up more opportunity for innovation and choice”.
There is no information about these devices whether they will be labeled with Intel label or not, or the products will be said to be in the development by HTC.
Intel also showcased its own take on HP’s Touchpad ‘Touch to Share’ feature. Called ‘Pair and Share’, it’s operated by a similar ‘bumping’ mechanic – touch two devices and the information jumps across.
HTC is expecting to unveil a new device in 2012 either in MWC (Mobile World Congress) or CES (Consumer Electronics Show). For updates, stay tuned with us.
