
Today HP announced about their first Android tablet Slate 7 at the Mobile World Congress 2013. It comes with a 7 inch capacitive touch screen display which has a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels. It runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS.
Slate 7 is powered by a 1.6 GHz Dual Core Cortex A9 processor and 1GB RAM. It comes with 8GB internal storage and built-in support for beats audio. The storage can be expanded using a microSD card. It has a 3 megapixel back camera and a VGA front facing camera for video calling.
Talking about the connectivity features, Slate 7 comes with a micro USB port and supports Wi-Fi. It has a rated battery life of around 5 hours.
Slate 7 comes in a stainless steel frame and soft black paint in gray or red on the back. It would be available in US from May 2013 for just $169.
