HTC has finally announced the flagship smartphone of this year dubbed as U12+. You can get this smartphone in Ceramic Black, Translucent Blue and Flame Red color options and is already available for pre-orders in U.S. HTC U12+ will be available in two storage options including 64GB storage which will be priced at USD 799 and another one is 128GB version which will cost at USD 849.
U12+ boasts of a 6-inch Quad HD+ Super LCD display with 18:9 aspect ratio, Corning Gorilla Glass 5 resistance and HDR 10 support. This smartphone packs dual front and dual rear cameras. On the rear, there is 12 MP HTC UltraPixel 4 camera with dual LED flash, f/1.75 aperture, Laser autofocus and a secondary 16 MP shooter with f/2.6 aperture, telephoto lens, slo-mo at 60 fps in 4K resolution and 240fps in full HD resolution.
It has dual 8 MP snapper with AR stickers, f/2.0 aperture, 84 degree field of view, face unlock feature, and real time bokeh effects. HTC U12+ has fingerprint scanner on its rear and houses 3500mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging support that can charge your handset 50% in just 35 minutes. This hybrid dual SIM based smartphone is IP68 certified which makes this smartphone dust and water resistance.
U12+ is equipped with Octa Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset coupled with Adreno 630 GPU and 6GB of RAM. It runs on Android 8.0 Oreo OS with HTC Sense UI on top. Connectivity options include Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS with GLONASS, NFC, USB Type C port and 3.5mm audio jack.
