In order to strengthen its otherwise feeble presence in the Indian smartphone market, LG today launched its newly-minted India-first W series of phones that include the LG W10, LG W30, and LG W30 Pro. The new series is aimed at countering the brands like Samsung, Xiaomi, and Realme which, of late, have started launching India-specific portfolio of phones.
The entry-level LG W10 and the low mid-range LG W30 are priced at INR8,999 and INR9,999 respectively. Both the phones will go on sale from June 3 on Amazon India. However, the price of the top-rung LG W30 Pro is not revealed nor its availability date, though it is reportedly dropping soon.
The LG W30 and LG W30 Pro are backed by AI triple-rear-camera setup while the LG W10 makes use of a Smart dual-rear-camera setup.
Furthermore, the LG W30 and W30 Pro have a customizable notch that can turn into Dot or V-shaped design or disappear completely depending on the user’s preference as against the out-dated wider notch of the LG W10. All the handsets are backed by 4,000mAh battery and rear-mounted fingerprint scanner while they run no-frills stock Android 9.0 Pie out-of-the-box.
LG W30 Pro
In terms of specifications, let’s start with the top-end LG W30 Pro. The W30 Pro flaunts a 6.21-inch HD+ V-notch FullVison display with 19:9 aspect ratio and is powered by a 1.8GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 832 octa-core SoC clubbed with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage with expandability support via microSD card.

For the imaging, the LG W30 Pro mounts a triple-rear-camera setup comprising a 13MP primary sensor, an 8MP wide-angle sensor, and a 5MP depth sensor. Up front, it features a 16MP selfie-shooter with face unlock and bokeh effect support. The smartphone will be available in Pine Green, Denim Blue, and Black color options.
LG W30
The LG W30, on the other hand, wields a slightly bigger 6.26-inch HD+ Dot FullVision display with the same 19:9 aspect ratio. However, it differs in SoC, memory configuration, and triple rear cameras’ resolution.
The LG W30 is powered by a MediaTek Helio P22 SoC paired with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage that can be expanded using microSD card. It sports triple rear cameras that include a 12MP primary sensor, 13MP wide-angle sensor, and a 2MP depth sensor. A 16MP selfie shooter on the front is the same as the LG W30 Pro though. The phone will be available in Thunder Blue, Platinum Gray, and Aurora Green paint jobs.
LG W10
Talking about the LG W10, it is much similar to the LG W30 like it is powered by the same MediaTek Helio P22 SoC mated to 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage which is expandable. It comes with the same HD+ FullVision display but with a smaller 6.19-inch size and 18.9:9 aspect ratio.
The main difference, however, lies in the camera department as it mounts a dual-rear-camera setup versus the triple-rear-camera setup found in the LG W30. The dual setup is consisting of a 13MP primary sensor and a 5MP depth sensor. Up front, it carries an 8MP sensor for selfie and video chatting purposes that also supports face unlock and bokeh effect mode. The LG W10 will have two color options to choose from, namely Tulip Purple and Smokey Gray.
