Micromax In 1 launched with triple-rear cameras and 5,000mAh battery, prices start at 10,499 INR
Micromax is having a second run in the Indian market. Today, it unveiled the Micromax In 1, its third smartphone since its comeback in November last year. The new phone looks identical to the Micromax In Note 1. However, compared to the latter, the Micromax In 1 is dialed down in specs, including three rear cameras and a less powerful MediaTek SoC. Not to mention it is also relatively affordable.
The Micromax In 1 is priced at INR10,499 for the 4GB RAM+64GB storage model and INR11,999 for the 6GB RAM+128GB model. The smartphone will come in Blue and Purple color options with a gradient back, which has an X pattern.
Sales begin on March 26 via Flipkart and Micromax’s official website. Important to note, the phone will be offered at introductory prices of INR9,999 and INR11,499 for the 4GB and 6GB models, respectively.
Regarding specifications, the Micromax In 1 has a 6.67-inch FHD+ (1,080×2,400) LCD screen with a 20:9 aspect ratio, 91.4 percent screen-to-body ratio, and 400 nits peak brightness. The screen features a punch-hole cutout at the top center. The L1 Widevine support means it can stream HD content on various OTT platforms.
The heart of the smartphone is a MediaTek Helio G80 SoC which pumps power coupled with up to 6GB RAM and up to 128GB internal storage. Using a microSD card, one can expand the storage to up to 256GB. Also, inside the phone, there is a 5,000mAh battery for fuel, which supports 18W fast charging.
On the software side of things, the Micromax In 1 boots Android 10 with a nearly stock-like experience. The company promises an upgrade to Android 11 somewhere in May this year.
The imaging department consists of triple rear cameras comprising a 48MP primary sensor, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 2MP macro sensor. Upfront, lurking inside the punch-hole cutout is an 8MP camera meant for selfies and video callings.
While the phone gets all the necessary sensors, the connectivity options include 4G dual VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, dual-VoWiFi, GPS, Bluetooth 5.0, and a USB Type-C port.
