Motorola One Macro with triple-rear cameras and Helio P70 launched in India for 9,999 INR

Following the speculations, Motorola has finally launched the Motorola One Macro in India as the latest in the company’s attempt to launch camera-specific smartphones such as the recently launched Motorola One Action and Motorola One Zoom.
Compared to the mid-ranger status of the Motorola One Action and Motorola One Zoom, the Motorola One Macro is, however, an entry-level offering.
As the name suggests, the Motorola One Macro is advertised as the smartphone for capturing perfect macro shots. Besides that, the smartphone features an Helio P70 SoC, 4,000mAh battery, 4GB RAM, and triple-rear camera setup.
The Motorola One Macro is priced at INR9,999 for the single 4GB RAM+64GB storage variant coming in only Space Blue option. The smartphone will go on sale starting October 12 exclusively on Flipkart. As part of Jio offer, buyers can receive a cashback of INR2,200 and 128GB additional data.
The Motorola One Macro comes with a 6.2-inch 1520x720p HD+ LCD display that is laced with a water-drop notch on the front and bears a 19.5:9 aspect ratio.

On the inside, the Motorola One Macro is powered by 12nm MediaTek Helio P70 octa-core SoC paired with Mali G72 GPU, 4GB RAM, and 64GB default storage. There is no dedicated microSD card slot, so if you wish to expand the storage up to 512GB via a microSD card, you will have to sacrifice one nano-SIM slot for it.
The Motorola One Macro runs Android 9 Pie with a stock interface. A 4,000mAh battery backs the phone with 10W charging support over USB Type-C port.
Talking about the camera department, a triple-camera setup lies at the back, which includes a 13MP f/2.0 primary sensor, a 2MP f/2.2 depth sensor, and a 2MP f/2.2 macro sensor with quick laser autofocus capability. The rear camera module supports 8x digital zoom and 1080p video recording at 120fps.
Upfront, an 8MP f/2.2 selfie shooter is enclosed by the water-drop notch. The selfie camera also doubles as face unlock while for more security, the phone packs a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.
Standard connectivity options include 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi, GPS, and 3.5mm audio jack. The phone tips the scales at 186 grams while measures 157.6×75.41×8.99mm in dimension.
The Motorola One Action will butt its head against the likes of the Realme 5 Pro, the Galaxy M10s, the Vivo U10, and the Lenovo K10 Plus which fall in the same ballpark.
