nubia Red Magic 3 launches with 5,000mAh battery, 90Hz display, and active liquid cooling system

ZTE’s sub-brand nubia has dropped a flagship level gaming smartphone in China. Dubbed as “nubia Red Magic 3”, the smartphone is a bumped-up successor to the nubia Red Magic Mars that was launched later last year. The nubia Red Magic 3 comes in a rugged eye-catching design with the classic nubia RGB LED strip along with sporting a Snapdragon 855 SoC, massive 5,000mAh battery, and 90Hz refresh rate display.
Nonetheless, the highlight of the nubia Red Magic 3 is its gaming PC-inspired active liquid cooling system that features an internal turbo fan- first of its kind in flagship phones as nubia claims. The cooling system effectively transfers heat by up to 500 percent.
The nubia Red Magic 3 for the sake of unparalleled gaming experience boasts a whopping 6.65-inch full HD+ full-view AMOLED display with 90Hz refresh rate and 430 nits brightness. It comes with front-mounted dual stereo speakers, DTS:X, and 3D surround sound technologies for creating a perfect soundscape.

The smartphone, under the hood, features a 7nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 octa-core SoC that pumps power in alliance with Adreno 640 GPU, up to 12GB RAM and up to 256GB internal storage.
For the optics, the nubia Red Magic 3 mounts a single but a powerful 48MP primary Sony IMX586 sensor with f/1.7 aperture at the back while up front it goes with a 16MP sensor with f/2.0 and AI Beauty features for selfie enthusiasts.
When it comes to software, the smartphone boots Android 9 Pie with Redmagic 2.0 custom skin laid on top. At 5,000mAh the battery of Red Magic 3 has taken a huge leap from the 3,800mAh of its predecessor. The battery supports 30W quick charging and is touted to support one-hour game-play in just 10-minute charge.
Regarding connectivity options, the nubia Red Magic 3 supports 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5, GPS, USB Type-C port, 3.5mm audio jack, and a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. The smartphone tips the scales at 215 grams and measures 171.7×78.5×9.65mm in dimension.
The nubia Red Magic 3 is launched in four different RAM+storage bundles. The base model with 6GB RAM+64GB storage is priced at CNY2,899 (Approx.INR30,000), whereas the 6GB RAM+128GB and 8GB+128GB storage models cost CNY3,199 (Approx. INR33,000) and CNY3,499 (Approx. INR36,000) respectively. The top model with 12GB RAM+256GB storage model can be snagged at CNY4,299 (Approx. INR44,500).
The smartphone will be available in Black, Flame Red, Camouflage, and Red with Blue gradient color options. The nubia Red Magic 3 will go on sale on May 3 in China with global availability slated for somewhere in May.
If you are a nubia fan and gaming enthusiast at the same time, there is good news for you. The company has already confirmed that the Red Magic 3 will hit the Indian market as well though no exact date has been announced in this regard.
