OnePlus 9, OnePlus 9 Pro, and OnePlus 9R launched in India, prices start at 39,999 INR

The much-awaited OnePlus 9 series has been unveiled. But instead of two, the company has launched three smartphones in the latest lineup. Besides the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro, an affordable variant, the OnePlus 9R has also been shown the light, exclusively for the Indian market.

Pricing and Availability 

The OnePlus 9 comes in two storage variants-8GB+128GB and 12GB+256GB- priced at INR49,999 and INR54,999, respectively. This phone will be available in Astral Black, Artic Sky, and Winter Mist color options. The OnePlus 9 Pro is priced at INR64,999 for the 8GB+128GB model and INR69,999 for the 12GB+256GB model. It will be available in Stellar Black, Pine Green, and Morning Mist paint jobs.

The OnePlus 9R is also offered in two storage variants: 8GB+128GB model priced at INR39,999 and 12GB+256GB model priced at INR43,999. Users can have it in Carbon Black and Lake Blue color options. All the phones will be available for preorders in April. The exact availability details are yet to be revealed.

OnePlus 9 Pro

The OnePlus 9 Pro sports a 6.7-inch full HD+ LTPO AMOLED display with a 3,216×1,440p resolution and up to 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. Under the hood, it has Snapdragon 888 SoC paired with up to 12GB RAM and up to 256GB UFS 3.1 internal storage. The OnePlus 9 boots Android 11 with OxygenOS UI laid on top.

Cameras at the back are four in numbers, including a 48MP primary camera with OIS support, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle camera, an 8MP telephoto shooter, and a 2MP monochrome sensor. At the front, there is a 16MP selfie camera with EIS support. The primary camera is capable of shooting 4K videos at 120 fps.

The OnePlus 9 Pro is fitted with a 4,500mAh dual-cell battery that supports 65W fast charging brick supplied inside the box. However, it also supports 50W fast charging, which can fill the device in 43 minutes. Other features include 5G, under-display fingerprint scanner, NFC, and face unlock. The phone is Gorilla Glass-protected (front and back). At the same time, it is also IP68 rated for dust and water resistance.

OnePlus 9

The OnePlus 9 features a 6.55-inch full HD+ (2,400×1,080p) AMOLED display with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, 20:9 aspect ratio. The Gorilla Glass protection extends to the back as well. At its heart, the smartphone has Snapdragon 888 SoC that pumps power coupled with up to 12GB RAM and up to 256GB UFS 3.1 internal storage. It runs OxygenOS 11 based on Android 11.

The rear of the phone tacks on triple cameras comprising a 48MP primary camera with EIS support, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a 2MP monochrome sensor. The selfie camera is rated at 16MP equipped with EIS. The primary camera can capture 4K videos at 60 fps and 8K videos at 30 fps. The camera app of both the OnePlus 9 vanilla and 9 Pro versions come with Hasselblad Pro Mode that lets users adjust ISP range, white balance, etc. for a professional camera experience.

The phone’s other salient features include 5G, an under-display fingerprint scanner, and a dual-cell 4,500mAh battery, supporting 65W fast charging. The 65W charging brick is offered out-of-the-box and can fill the device in 30 minutes.

OnePlus 9R

The OnePlus 9R is slightly dialed down in terms of specs, especially the chipset that is Snapdragon 870 SoC instead of Snapdragon 888 SoC and is mated to up to 12GB RAM and up to 128GB internal storage. The front of the phone flaunts a 6.5-inch full HD+ (1,080×2,400) AMOLED display with the same 120Hz refresh rate.

In terms of imaging, the smartphone features a quad-camera setup at the rear, comprising a 48MP primary sensor, a 16MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 5MP macro lens, and a 2MP monochrome sensor. Upfront, a 16MP front camera takes care of the selfie and video calling requirement.

The OnePlus also runs OxygenOS 11 based on Android 11 just like the OnePlus 9 flagships and is fueled by a 4,500mAh battery equipped with 65W fast charging.
