OPPO A1k launched in Russia: 6.1-inch HD+ display, Helio P22 SoC, and 4,000mAh battery
Of late, rumors were gaining ground that OPPO would soon launch a budget smartphone dubbed “OPPO A1k” in the Indian market. However, ahead of its launch in India, the OPPO A1k has already been unveiled in Russia. Marked for its impressive design, the smartphone comes with a metallic textured back and in-vogue water-drop notch. The AI-optimized battery pack is another highlight of the device.
The OPPO A1K is priced at RUB9,990 (Approx. INR10,500) and is offered in Black and Red color options. Notably, the Chinese manufacturer also launched the OPPO A5s, another budget smartphone in India yesterday.
Talking about the specifications, the OPPO A1k flaunts a 6.1-inch 720x1560p HD+ display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio and 87.43 percent screen-to-body ratio. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

On the inside, the OPPO A1k is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P22 SoC built on 12nm FinFET process. The smartphone also packs IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU, 2GB RAM, and 32GB internal storage which can be expanded further up to 256GB using a microSD card.
As far as the optics is concerned, the OPPO A1k mounts single camera module on both sides. On the rear, it sports an 8MP primary sensor with f/2.2 aperture and dual-tone LED flash while on the front it features a 5MP sensor with f/2.0 aperture for the selfie enthusiasts.
On the software side of things, the OPPO A1k boots Android 9.0 Pie with ColorOS 6.0 laid on top. The device is backed by a big AI-optimized 4,000mAh battery with 10W fast charging support via micro USB port. Similar to other smartphones the OPPO A1k features a 3.5mm audio jack, but, unfortunately, comes sans a fingerprint scanner for biometrics.
With regard to connectivity options, the OPPO A1k supports dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, and GPS/GLONASS. It weighs 170g and measures 154.5×73.8×8.4mm in dimension.
Though the OPPO A1k is launched in Russia the sale of the handset is yet to commence. As per the rumor mill the OPPO A1k will soon be carried over to India and that too with an affordable a price tag of INR7,999.
