Realme 3 launched in India starting at Rs. 8999 – 19:9 display, Dual rear cameras, Android Pie

Realme 3 has been launched in India today and the new smartphone from the young company is set to compete directly with the phones like Redmi Note 7 and more. Realme 3 comes with a 6.2-inch HD+ display with an aspect ratio of 19:9 aspect. Realme has made sure to keep a slim profile for the phone as it has a 2.05mm slim frame and even the screen to body ratio is 88.30% making it look quite nice in the front.

Under the hood, it is powered by a MediaTek Helio P70 processor that is built on a 12nm platform. You get up to 4GB RAM options in the higher end model that costs Rs. 10,999. On the software side, you will find Android 9.0 Pie with ColorOS 6.0 on top. For imaging, you have a dual camera setup on the back that gets you a 13 MP sensor with an f/1.8 lens along with a secondary 2 MP sensor that will let you take portrait shots.

ColorOS 6.0 on this phone comes with the Chroma Boost feature that will enhance the colors in the photos taken from the camera using AI and machine learning.

For selfies, you have a 13 MP sensor in the front with AI-based beauty mode that can scan about 296 points on your face and then it can present the best beauty effects. You also have dedicated dual SIM and microSD card slot and all this is powered by a 4230mAh battery.

The Realme 3 will be sold in Dynamic Black, Radiant Blue and Classic Black colors and it will start at Rs. 8999 for the 3GB RAM and 32GB storage option. The 4GB RAM with 64GB storage variant will cost Rs. 10,999. This will exclusively start selling on Flipkart starting on 12th March. The company has also announced a new case for the phone priced at Rs. 599 which will be available in Yellow, Gray and Blue colors.
