Samsung Galaxy A10s announced with 4,000mAh battery, dual rear cameras, and fingerprint scanner

Samsung launched the Galaxy A10 early this year and now the company has launched a refresh to the device called the Galaxy A10s. The new smartphone comes with the same design language as the Galaxy A10 but with some upgrades.

The Galaxy A10s now comes with a dual-rear-camera setup as against the single-rear-camera setup found on the Galaxy A10. The new smartphone also acquires a fingerprint scanner at the back and a bigger battery compared to the Galaxy A10.

The Galaxy A10s sticks to the 6.2-inch 1520×720 HD+ Infinity –V Display of the Galaxy A10, which means that there is a V-shaped notch upfront to hide the selfie camera. The phone comes with a 19:9 aspect ratio with a sizeable chin.

A 2.0GHz octa-core SoC is ticking inside the Galaxy A10s, paired with 2GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. The storage can be expanded further up to 512GB via a dedicated microSD card slot.

Talking about the camera, the Samsung Galaxy A10s mounts a dual-camera setup at the back consisting of a 13MP primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture and a secondary 2MP depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture.

Upfront, an 8MP shooter with f/2.0 aperture lies inside the V-shaped notch for selfie enthusiasts. The selfie camera is also capable of face unlock, allowing two ways of authentication for Galaxy A10s users.

The Galaxy A10s boots Android 9 Pie with Samsung’s One UI slapped on top. As mentioned earlier, the Galaxy A10s gets a bump in the battery department with housing a 4,000mAh battery versus 3,400mAh battery present in the Galaxy A10.

The smartphone supports dual SIM in addition to a dedicated microSD slot. Standard connectivity options include 4G LTE, GPS, Bluetooth, and a 3.5mm audio jack. It weighs 168 grams and measures 156.9×75.8×7.8mm in dimension.

The Galaxy A10s will be available in four color options such as Black, Blue, Green, and Red. Nevertheless, Samsung is yet to specify the date of availability and the pricing of the device. Considering the price of the original Galaxy A10, the Galaxy A10s is likely to be priced at around iNR7,999.
