Samsung Galaxy S20 FE launched in India with Exynos 990 SoC, priced at 49,999 INR

Days after its launch in the global market the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE (Fan Edition) has made it to the Indian market. The affordable version of the Galaxy S20 in the Indian market doesn’t support 5G and comes with Exynos 990 SoC instead of the global version’s Snapdragon 865 SoC.

The Galaxy S20 FE is priced at INR49,999 coming in only one 8GB RAM+128GB storage variant. The smartphone will go on for pre-booking on October 9 via Amazon,, and leading retail stores across India. The smartphone will start shipping from October 16 in as many as five color options such as Color Red, Cloud Lavender, Cloud Mint, Cloud Navy, and Cloud White.

The Galaxy S20 FE has an Infinity-O display with a hole-punch cutout upfront and uses textured haze design at the Glasstic back. The FHD+ (1080×2400) display spans 6.5 inches diagonally. It flaunts a 20:9 aspect ratio and 120Hz refresh rate. The screen gets protection from Corning Gorilla Glass 3.


Under the hood, it is driven by an Exynos 990 chipset paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage that is expandable up to 1TB via microSD card. On the software front, the smartphone runs One UI 2.0 based on Android 10.

The Samsung Galaxy S20 FE is stacked with a triple rear camera setup that carries a 12MP f/1.8 primary sensor with OIS, a 12MP f/2.2 ultra-wide sensor with 123-degree FoV, and an 8MP telephoto sensor. It has a 32MP f/2.0 autofocus punch-hole selfie camera on the front.

The fuel is extracted from a 4,500mAh battery equipped with 15W wired fast charging, 15W wireless charging, and 4.5W reverse wireless charging. The IP68 rating ensures it is dust and water-resistant. The phone also has AKG tuned stereo speakers.

In terms of connectivity, the Galaxy S20 FE supports 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, and USB Type-C port. It weighs 190 grams and measures 159.8×74.5×8.4mm in dimension.
